Ability to disable Acknowledgement Emails from getting sent out

Currently, we send out an email when incident is created, acknowledged, and recovered. There are customers that would like to suppress the acknowledgement emails to minimize the number of emails going through the organization.
We could possibly have an option in System -> Preferences where customer can disable these emails.
