As the subject suggested, please consider add validation rule to IP field to only allow alphanumeric characters and a few allowed special characters, such as ".", "-", and "_", in IP field. I didn't notice that the IP I pasted has an leading space, and that caused many incidents. Furthermore, the current UI makes it more difficult to catch that.
